  • Description

Deadstock Soviet PPSH41 stick mag loader. Price is for ONE loader. All are new old stock in good condition and most are covered in cosmoline. Some are also still wrapped in brown paper.  The loaders seem to fit every mag a little different. Some are super tight, some are more loose but they generally tend to be on the tight side. Also there was a great deal of variation in the design of the magazines and the supports on the mag which this loader rides on varied a lot. The magazine pictured is a very early stick mag from about 1942-3 and the loader fits it nicely.

These are rather hard to get ahold of and fairly difficult to research. From what little information I have managed to find, it seems the loaders for the stick and drum mags were something that was introduced alongside the creation of each magazine but which was soon phased out. It is also worth noting that the loaders are very clearly an adaptation of the loaders used on the other weapons which influenced the PPSh. I do believe these to be WWII production, but I also can not rule out the possibility that the Soviets might have revisited them at some point after the war. They are completely devoid of markings, so it is very difficult to say. The lower quality of the finish on the metalwork is also more inline with wartime manufacturing as opposed to the highly polished finish of most post war made components.
