description: This is a reproduction of the medics 1 liter canteen harness and includes the shoulder strap. Several different verisons of this harness exist so this may be different than the one hiding in your closet but it was copied from an original example. Available with or without the metal hook on the back. The strap is the correct length, width, shape, and has the correct number of holes etc... The strap comes with a great reproduction cap attached unlike many reproduction straps currently available which require you to rob your original assymbly of its cap. This harness was stitched together by hand useing black thread. Both black and white thread are common to German canteens. All parts, peices, and even the leather are from the US. The hardware is made locally and used only on these straps.
